Tulsa, OKJanuary 2026Tulsa Garden Center Executive Director Andy Fusco today announced the promotions of Briana Hefley-Shepard and Leigh Taylor, recognizing their leadership, dedication, and growing impact on the organization.

Briana Hefley-Shepard has been promoted to Director of Education & Community Engagement, after previously serving as Director of Marketing & Communications. Since joining Tulsa Garden Center in 2023, Briana has played a vital role in advancing Tulsa Garden Center’s educational mission, public storytelling, and community partnerships. During a period of leadership transition, she provided continuity and strategic support while expanding the organization’s visibility, strengthening community relationships, and helping shape the Garden Center’s voice both locally and nationally. Her leadership has been instrumental in elevating Tulsa Garden Center as an educational and cultural resource within Woodward Park

Leigh Taylor has been promoted to Director of Horticulture, following several years of dedicated services as Teaching Garden Manager. During a year of significant transition, Leigh provided steady leadership within the horticulture department, taking on expanded responsibilities that ensured continuity, stability, and excellence across the gardens. Leigh has played a key role in overseeing major garden projects, supporting volunteer training, and strengthening partnerships, including significant expansion of TGC’s education work in service to the Quapaw Nation. Their collaborative leadership style, deep horticultural knowledge, and commitment to stewardship have earned the trust of volunteers, partners, and guests alike.
