The three and a half-acre ornamental garden showcases over 350 plant varieties – a total of 8,000 permanent plants – set in terraced beds on a hillside offering views of downtown Tulsa from its peak.
A signature feature of the Floral Terraces is the Garden Cascade, a six-foot wide central water runnel emanating from the top of the hillside and flowing down into a seven acre lake. Seasonal color display beds surround the water channel from top to bottom.
Unique to the garden are custom-designed pavilions, stair railings, tuteurs and planting designs that are inspired by Tulsa’s rich Art Deco architecture.
The Tandy Floral Terraces is the first garden to be built from the master plan. The Children’s Discovery Garden will open May 2016 and design is underway for Lotus Pool and All Seasons Garden.
