Tower Hill Botanic Garden is pleased to announce that Theresa Lee has been named chief development officer.

Lee, a Northborough resident, joined Tower Hill in 2020 as the manager of philanthropic engagement and had most recently served as the interim director of development.

“I’m thrilled to have Theresa as our chief development officer,” Tower Hill CEO Grace Elton said. “She brings a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience in development and we are eager to bring our development efforts to the next level under her leadership.”

Prior to working at Tower Hill, Lee was a senior leader in development at MIT, Boston College, and Holy Cross leading teams to success in fundraising campaigns. She is also an instructor in Boston University’s Fundraising Program.

“I’m honored for the opportunity to lead the advancement team and to have a role in impacting the current and next generation of nature’s stewards,” said Lee. “Tower Hill is such an inspirational place to so many and I look forward to working to ensure that this very special organization thrives for the wellbeing of all.”

Lee’s responsibilities include leading the effort to fulfill a $28 million capital campaign that includes construction of expanded parking lots, accessible paths, and a new garden geared for children and families called The Ramble.
