San Antonio, TX (October 2024) – The San Antonio Botanical Garden proudly joined by Hannah Roberts Packard as its first-ever Chief Development Officer. With over 16 years’ of experience contributing to the success of mission-driven organizations, Roberts Packard is seasoned in illuminating the talents and passions of people to foster cultures of philanthropy and growth.
Roberts Packard joins the Garden following nearly eight years at The University of Texas at Austin, where she most recently led the Foundation Relations team as Senior Director. Her leadership style emphasizes collaboration and innovation, making her the ideal fit for the Garden’s mission of enriching lives through plants and nature.
Previously, she contributed to the University of Texas Libraries as Chief Development Officer, where she played a pivotal role in building special collections and expanding access to rare materials and information. Her career began with Big Medium, a prominent visual arts nonprofit in Austin, Texas, renowned for the Austin Studio Tour and Texas Biennial. At Big Medium, she contributed to the establishment of the organization’s development program.
Katherine Trumble, President & CEO of the San Antonio Botanical Garden, expressed her excitement for Roberts Packards’ arrival, stating, “Hannah brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for connecting people with meaningful opportunities to support causes they care about. Her expertise in creating sustainable fundraising strategies will be invaluable as we continue to grow our initiatives and strengthen our community impact.
As the Garden’s Chief Development Officer, Roberts-Packard will lead the Garden, guiding the membership program, corporate and foundation relations, event production, and campaign development efforts. She will also be pivotal in advancing the Garden’s Garden for All initiative, designed to enhance accessibility and inclusion for all visitors, including those in underserved communities.
