A well-developed trialing program can benefit a public garden, its visitors, and the horticulture industry as a whole. Successful plants with proven performance create beautiful displays that engage the public and showcase the living landscape. The more trial sites that submit results, the more accurate the information will be. There can also be difficult aspects of a trialing program, but non-profit organizations like All-America Selections give great support to trial programs and create a network of dedicated horticulturists. We plan to set attendees at ease and prove that while these programs can be a lot of work, they are well worth every trial!
