In October 2018, the Stockholm Resilience Centre released a report “Transformation is Feasible” to the Club of Rome on how to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals within Planetary Boundaries. Of four simulations run, only transformational policies avoided crossing the red-line to irreversible planetary damage. We cannot continue just trying to be better at doing the same thing. We need to adopt living systems regenerative thinking and apply it to our own institutions and take a leadership position in modeling it for our communities. We will take an in depth look at regenerative thinking, explore the 7 first principles of regeneration and demonstrate how it can be translated to a public garden.
