While interest continues to grow for plant-based movements such as farm-to-table, field-to-vase, and school and community gardens, there is a lack of growth in the number of people interested in careers in horticulture. College and university programs are shrinking, and public gardens are challenged to fill their open positions. To change this paradigm, Seed Your Future, a collaboration of more than 150 partners including horticulture companies, public gardens, colleges and universities, and affiliated organizations was formed. Based on data-driven research, Seed Your Future aims to provide gardens of all sizes with resources and activities needed to inspire visitors to learn more about careers in horticulture. Come join the movement.
