Degraded soils and loss of soil functions necessary for the production of food and fiber are a result of most agricultural systems around the world.  Interest in soil health is growing as producers and governments are discovering how agricultural soils can be rejuvenated by following the basic soil health principles of minimizing disturbance, increasing diversity, keeping living roots growing and maintaining residue cover.  NRCS International Programs Division is helping to educate on soil health by sponsoring soil health specialists to provide training to interested countries.  This webinar will provide examples from Asia, Africa and South America on what farmers and ranchers are doing to improve soil health from working with NRCS Soil Health Specialists.
