Exhibits in public gardens keep perspectives fresh, use spaces in new ways, attract new audiences, and much more. But they can also strain resources such as time, money, and staff capacity. Licensing a traveling blockbuster exhibit is often cost prohibitive, while producing a quality exhibit in-house seems unrealistic. So what’s a small- to mid-sized garden to do? In this session, hear from 3 organizations – Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, Reiman Gardens, and Sherman Library & Gardens. Their exhibits range from sculptural and artistic to grassroots and interactive, but all are characterized by two things: low input & high impact.
