Temperature is universally important for organisms and the thermal environment of a diversity of organisms is changing rapidly because of global climate change. Warmer temperatures associated with climate change lead to earlier phenological events, shrinking body size and reduced survival in insects. This in situ experiment provides important insights into the implications of future warming scenarios.
