Director at Large
Nathan Kells (Nate) is the Membership Manager at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, an expansive 1,200 acre public garden located in Chaska, MN, just outside of the Twin Cities metro area. The garden includes 28 specialty gardens, 44 plant collections, 150+ works of permanent art, 200+ staff members and a stunning array of 5,900 unique species, cultivars and hybrids.
Nate has been at the Arboretum for 15 years. He and his team cultivate relationships with more than 31,000 member households annually. He worked with many departments to charter the Arboretum Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is still an active member.
Other community organizations Nate currently serves on includes: Cologne City Council, Cologne Academy School Board, Cologne Lions Club, Communities of Belonging and the SW Transportation Coalition.
Nate received Bachelor of Science degrees in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in Graphic Design. He has a masters degree in Strategic Communications. Nathan brings 15 years of marketing, sales, membership, research and development to his position at the Arboretum and is excited to share his talents as an APGA board member. He has a passion for community involvement and supporting LGBTQIA and disabled populations.
