New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill is pleased to share that Lashaun Woodliff has been named Director of Facilities. Woodliff, a Townsend, MA, resident, took up the role in early 2023.
“I’m thrilled to have Lashaun as our Director of Facilities. He brings a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience,” says New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill CEO Grace Elton. “We are excited to enhance our garden facilities under his leadership, ensuring guests continue to have an outstanding experience every time they visit.”
Prior to coming to New England Botanic Garden, Woodliff served the community of Lowell, MA, for six years as director of facilities for House of Hope, a nonprofit organization that helps homeless families gain stable housing. During that time, Woodliff managed the construction and renovation of two multi-million-dollar projects including an 18-unit apartment building built from the ground up and a 35 family, 12,000 square foot homeless shelter renovation. Prior to getting into facilities management, Woodliff worked as a general contractor for Brady Sullivan. He was tasked with overseeing and coordinating the renovation of an old mill building conversion to luxury apartments in Manchester, NH.
“I’m honored by the opportunity to lead New England Botanic Garden’s facilities team and to make a positive impact not only on visitors, but also on staff,” says Woodliff. “Our dedicated team is committed to creating an environment where people can connect with nature and it’s a privilege to contribute to this mission.”
The Boylston-based botanic garden, which sits on 171 acres, includes facilities spanning more than 50,000 square feet. The area encompasses the Garden’s visitor center and amenities, educational classrooms, staff offices, and more. Woodliff’s many responsibilities include leading an array of facility enhancement projects that make the Garden safe and accessible while expanding the organization’s capacity to offer even more for its visitors.
