Job Description

The seasonal Supervisor on Duty of Operations is responsible for supervising the janitorial team and overseeing workflow production for efficient productivity and timely completion of duties in assigned areas. Physically perform janitorial tasks, including cleaning/stocking restrooms, emptying trash on property and offices, working in both the outdoors and indoors, and in all weather conditions.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and oversee workflow of staff for efficient productivity and successful completion of duties. Delegate work assignments as appropriate. Assist with dispensing supplies.
Perform routine janitorial maintenance as specified by Operations Management including cleaning/stocking restrooms, emptying trash cans, cleaning offices, monitoring property for trash on ground, etc.
Identify, report, handle, and document any problems with facilities as needed (i.e. leaks, broken items, maintenance issues, etc.). Escalate issues in a timely manner, as appropriate.
Safely operate and be responsible for minor maintenance of janitorial equipment used
Meet janitorial project completion schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Assist with special projects as required.
Meet and check-in with the evening janitorial team daily and confirm their area assignments.
Partner and maintain communication with Public Events, Guest Experience, and Security teams throughout events to ensure that the guest experience is optimal.
Support the Security department with handling reported injuries, incidents, and emergencies.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

 

 

Education and Experience

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

High School education or equivalent
2-5 years transferable operations experience, or related experience; 1-year supervisory experience preferred.
At least 18 years of age
Basic computer skills
Proficient in workplace safety measures.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends and evenings.
Ability to lift 30 lbs and to physically and repeatedly walk the property for janitorial/equipment oversight and support in all weather conditions.
Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examinations

Basic communication in English, required. Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred.

Ability to organize, delegate and oversee workflow; deadline driven

Flexible, proactive versus reactive skills, with positive problem solution skills
Self-starter; Initiative, extensive walking and standing
