Job Description

The Seasonal Set-Up Crew Member will possess the ability to perform physical setup and tear down of all events. This person will also address maintenance needs as directed. Maintain equipment and keep storage areas orderly. This position will report to the Setup Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Arrange physical set up in a timely manner as specified on calendar and event set up sheets.
Assist with major room changes, including carefully handling and storage of antiques and other significant furnishings in historical homes, as applicable.
Break down facility setups, checking for any equipment or property damage.
Report all damage and problems to Setup Supervisor.
Follow all safety and security procedures
Assist with courier duties, taking equipment back and forth from offsite storage or parking garage storage as needed.
Check power at event venues to be sure all is in working order after setup, including setting up spider box, temporary panel or generator as needed
Assist with janitorial duties when needed
Additional duties as assigned
Must be able to perform all functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations

Education and Experience

Experience with the use of safety equipment to protect hands, eyes, feed, head and back.
General knowledge of safely handling heaters, generators, fans and other equipment
Flexibility to work extended hours, nights and weekends.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient knowledge of safety rules.
Proficient in techniques for cleaning and maintaining equipment
Valid driver’s license required
Creating and maintaining a safe work environment
Excellent time management, Proficient organizational skills, Attention to detail, Team player

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to:

Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, walk property and climb ladders as needed.
