Job Description

The Dawes Arboretum is actively recruiting a Partner Relations Coordinator to join our Development team.

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Partner Relations Coordinator serves as a connector and relationship builder to corporations, community groups, non-profits, and other representatives that aspire to share in and support the mission of The Dawes Arboretum. As a fundraising-based position, this role focuses on identifying strategic alignments to support The Arboretum’s annual funding objectives.

About Us

Dawes is a nearly 2,000-acre accredited tree museum, where employees are dedicated to our mission of enriching lives through the conservation of trees, nature and history.

Duties & Responsibilities

Some of the specific responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Implement relationship building best practices for local and regional corporations, foundations, and community organizations. Develop and maintain a database of detailed knowledge on corporate and community giving interests and funding opportunities.
• Expand, maintain and steward The Arboretum’s corporate/community relationship portfolio by strategically identifying, cultivating and sustaining long-term affiliations that result in increased philanthropic or revenue-based support.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to identify and support the development of new opportunities to enhance activities of events, site tours, and external presentations.
• Oversee all fulfillment procedures and reporting tied to new and existing corporate, foundation and community relationships as it relates to recognition, sponsorships and other promised deliverables.

Education and Experience

If the above speaks to you, please submit your cover letter and resume demonstrating the following:

• Associate’s degree in business administration, communications or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Two (2) years of experience managing multiple aspects of a corporate and/or community organization that has resulted in significant diverse contributions and enhanced engagement.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
• Keen attention to detail with exemplary time management and organizational skills.
• Proven orientation toward quality customer service and relationship building.
• Previous non-profit development experience is a plus.
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

The annual salary range for this position is $45,000-$52,000
