The Flower Gardens Project Manager communicates daily with our clients, sales team, foremen, crews, contractors, and suppliers to ensure a high-quality and efficient landscape project for world-renowned estates. Analyzes scope, specifications, and other documentation presented to prepare cost and revenue proposals, (considering all cost, labor, materials, and services involved) for proposed projects. Ensuring that all work is completed profitably according to the contract and client’s satisfaction while maintaining Marders standards. This individual will need to be knowledgeable in safety compliance, general landscape, and construction practices.

Duties & Responsibilities
Scheduling crews, coordinating and supervising projects ensuring production, quality, and budget controls. This includes the coordination of all machinery, labor & materials for the project.

Improving scheduling efficiencies, held accountable for relaying all information on the consequences/effects of schedule changes to account managers at the time of request, with respect to
their job and impact on other jobs.

Communicating with Account Managers and/or Flower Garden Managers before any decision is made to change the plan on a job.
•
Partner with account Managers, Landscape Drafter, and clients for the design and installation of landscape projects.
•
Daily communication with the foreman to ensure that the project is progressing according to schedule.
•
Responsible for demonstrating your ability to relay to all foreman/crews that safety precautions are a number one paramount concern in the company.

Confirm that load lists are completed and given to yard for the next day’s scheduled deliveries
•
Communicate with subcontractors to troubleshoot any issues that may arise throughout the project.
•
Ensure that all job sites meet Marders stands for workmanship, safety, and cleanliness.
•
Responsible for knowing where the job stands daily as far as costs, additions/deletions, and T & M.
•
Accountable to communicate all pertinent information with the Account Manager and/or Flower Garden Manager as needed, potentially on a daily basis.
•
Review daily time sheets to ensure all T&M is accounted for and recorded.
•
Review monthly billing with accounting and confirm that all additions and completions are included on the invoice.
Communicating, scheduling, and assessing priorities is key for success in this position. This includes communication with the Landscape Manager, Account Managers, Project Manager, Team Lead, Foreman, and Crews, as well as other departments/ team members

Work with others to coordinate equipment and material deliveries and ensure efficient use of shared resources.

Research new technologies & ideas to increase efficiencies in the estimating department
•
Total knowledge of the company’s labor, material, and machinery rates.

Mastery of landscape construction process knowledge to achieve a higher quality result for clients

and greater efficiency for the company.
Financial:
•
Developing accurate proposals for new and existing clients, maintaining or exceeding acceptable gross margins that support the company’s financial goals, this includes but is not limited to, labor, subs, equipment, and materials.

Ability to follow company procedures for daily monitoring and updating project status relating to
gross profit objectives and timelines.
•
Source new subcontractors who can increase profitability margin while keeping in line with
Marders standards.
•
Create new ways to achieve company revenue and Gross Profit targets.
Education and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in a related field such as:
Horticulture
Landscape Design
Environmental Science
Business Management
Marketing
Certifications (optional but beneficial):
Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH)
Certified Landscape Professional (CLP)
Project Management Professional (PMP) for managing client accounts and projects
Experience:
Experience in gardening, landscaping, or related field:
At least 2-5 years working with plants, flowers, or landscaping
Experience in managing projects or accounts
Previous experience in customer service or sales
Management Experience:
Experience managing client relationships
Handling customer requests, concerns, and providing solutions
Managing budgets and timelines for projects
Sales and Marketing:
Experience in sales (B2B or B2C) for garden products or services
Developing proposals and marketing materials
Working with teams to develop strategies for growing business or retaining clients
Skills:
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction
Ability to create clear reports and proposals
Customer Service:
Building and maintaining relationships with clients
Problem-solving and conflict resolution
Project Management:
Organizing and overseeing flower garden projects
Budget management and ensuring the completion of projects on time
Knowledge of Horticulture and Landscaping:
Understanding of plant care, garden design, pest control, and seasonal needs
Attention to Detail:
Ensuring the accuracy of client orders, service, and project requirements
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with software for project management, CRM systems, and basic gardening tools or design software (CAD, for example)

Salary from $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 commensurate with experience.
