The Gardens on Spring Creek (The Gardens) in Fort Collins, Colorado has named Kim Manajek as its new Director, effective April 17. Since 2017, Manajek has served as the Director of the Longmont Museum and previously served as the Associate Director of Exhibitions, Art, and Interpretation at Denver Botanic Gardens. She holds master’s degrees in art history and anthropology from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Texas at Austin.

“What an amazing opportunity to become part of the Gardens on Spring Creek!” said Manajek. “I am looking forward to working hand-in-hand with the Gardens’ talented staff to create the next phase of a very promising future. Together we will build on the accomplishments of the previous director. With this solid foundation, The Gardens is ready to flourish, and I’m thrilled to have the privilege to play a role in that excitement.”

“We are delighted to have Kim Manajek joining The Gardens team,” said Jim McDonald, Director of the City of Fort Collins’ Cultural Services Department. “Kim believes deeply in public gardens and the positive benefits they bring to individuals and the community. She brings a dedication to staff support and development and has a long and deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. We look forward to the leadership and experience she will bring.”
