Hundreds of museum professionals in all disciplines from across the country converge every February for the American Alliance of Museums’ Museums Advocacy Day. As living museums, public gardens have benefitted from this advocacy through increased funding opportunities, shared resources, expanded tax benefits, and closer relationships with their elected officials. This is a unique opportunity to unite with museum colleagues and supporters from across the country as one voice to reaffirm our essential value, collective contributions, and aspirations.
Museums Advocacy Day provides essential training and support advocates need to meet members of Congress and their staff effectively. Find out why you should and how you can be a part of this year’s Museums Advocacy Day. No experience necessary to attend!
