Columbus, Georgia – June 29, 2026 – Columbus Botanical Garden is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Klingler as its new Director of Events. Klingler has a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and began her career at the Columbus Botanical Garden by building and leading the Garden’s Education Department. Through that role, she developed a deep understanding of the Garden’s mission, operations, and community while planning and managing educational programs and events. Since then, she has transitioned into leading the Garden’s events program, overseeing both public and private events and helping create meaningful experiences for our guests.
“I was drawn to Columbus Botanical Garden because it is a place that brings people together through nature, education, and community,” said Klingler. “This role allows me to combine my passion for event planning with the chance to support the Garden’s mission and serve our community.”
As Director of Events, Klingler looks forward to bringing creativity, organization, and hospitality to a variety of programs and celebrations. “I want every event to feel welcoming and memorable while creating opportunities for people of all ages to engage with the Garden. Events are often a person’s first introduction to the Garden, and they provide opportunities for people to create memories and build connections,” Klingler said. Whether it is a festival, educational program, wedding, or family event, these experiences encourage guests to explore the Garden, appreciate its beauty, and develop a lasting connection to the organization and its mission. “My goal is for every event to inspire people to feel that the Garden is a place where they belong and want to return.”
