Philadelphia, 2023 — Awbury Arboretum is delighted to announce the appointment of Bettina de Caumette as the new Membership and Development Manager. Her responsibilities include the membership program, donor relations, event sponsorship, Awbury al Fresco, and the annual Greens Sale.
“Bettina is deeply committed to the arboretum,” said Awbury’s Executive Director Sara Stevenson. “She has served the organization in several event-planning roles, and we’re thrilled to have her with us full-time. She understands the magic of Awbury and will help us share that spark as we grow our membership and development efforts. Donations and memberships strengthen our connection to the community and are essential to our operations. With the addition of this role, we look forward to serving our constituents with even more attention.”
de Caumette brings a background in placemaking and community building, most recently working as Outreach Coordinator for Weaver’s Way Co-op when membership grew from six thousand to over ten thousand member-households. She was drawn to this role after years of volunteering and collaboration with the arboretum. “All the things I love seem to live here,” said de Caumette. “The work of caring for the arboretum and keeping it open and accessible to everyone requires a lot of teamwork, devotion, creativity, and resourcefulness. I wanted to join in that effort.”
