CEO
Michelle became CEO of the American Public Garden Association in November 2022. She leads a team of dedicated professionals towards our vision of a world where public gardens are indispensable.
She has over 20 years’ experience in the horticulture industry, including 15 years as the Executive Director of the Gardens on Spring Creek, the botanic garden of Fort Collins, Colorado. She has a Bachelors in Economics and International Business, with a minor in Spanish from St. Louis University and an Associates in Ornamental Horticulture from Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California. Throughout her varied career, Michelle has owned her own business, and worked for non-profits, businesses, Federal and local governments. When not working, she enjoys traveling, gardening and exploring the Rocky Mountains.
